The defendant Dennis Dempsey raises a number of issues in this appeal from his jury conviction for conspiring to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute it in violaiton of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and 846. Since sufficiency of the evidence is not an issue, no detailed statement of facts is necessary. Ten defendants were named in the conspiracy charge and eight of them entered into plea bargains. Dempsey and one co-defendant, Dr. Sherrill Nunnelley, were tried jointly.
